The Wedding Writers
Entering the wedding industry was a springboard learning experience that bolstered my skills as a fluid leader, organizer, and task driven achiever. It taught me how to truly learn a client’s vision and the consequent innovation when coordinating elaborate events. This ultimately made me flexible in adapting to the changing demands as client timelines progress.
Alongside co-founder, Kaitrin Acuña, we created The Wedding Writers as a bespoke wedding service. We saw the rising popularity of artistic wedding add-ons, like live painters or silver plate photographers, and followed where our imagination lead us. Through Kaitrin’s experience as a wedding photographer and querying novelist, she and I ventured further into the events industry together.
After several years of operations, we retired the project to pursue our independent careers.

As Lead Storyteller:
Co-founder of company creating heirloom novellas for clients to re-experience special events through prose
Interviews to craft timelines and learn key characters before attending the wedding/special event
Travel to attend and experience the narrative of the story, meet and interview other guests to develop content
Write foundational draft of story based on notes and experiences collected that is aligned to the narrative style and thematic preferences of the couple, and collaboratively edit the final draft
